Paint too thin or too thick

Follow applying instructions on information sheets
Ensure that application tools are entirely clean and usable.

Before removing paint, wait for complete film drying, then :

Sand and polish
Sand and repaint
Use efficient solvents : (D33,D55,D66)

Inadequate applying material
Paint too thick

Be careful to thickness
Use recommended material

 Sand, clean and repaint following adequate applying method

Paint incompatible with outdoor exposure : (sun, rainfall or frost)
Too high applying temperature
Product too much diluted
Layer too thin

Sand and clean chalked surface, apply base fixing agent then a resin-rich paint

Product too much diluted
Substrate is not even
Insufficiency of the finish film

Apply an undercoat of the same color
Put an additional layer
Avoid excessive solvent quantities
Follow dilution instructions
Be careful about thickness
Use an appropriate equipment
Work in good lighting conditions
Paint should be well mixed beforehand

Sand and repaint.

Paint not adapted to exposure
Undercoat not dry enough prior to finishing
Excesive dilution or layer too thin
Insufficient surface preparation, especially if paint is applied on bare wood without undercoat.
Paint film too thick
• Paint layer applies to cracked surface
• Too hot or cold substrate
• Paint poorly mixed

Remove undesired products before beginning to paint.
Too thick layers should be removed begore beginning to paint.
Follow remaining instructions such as :
Flash off and drying time between layers, layer thickness, etc.

Rub, sand and apply compatible paint

Porous and absorbent base coat
Applied paint too much diluted
Use of inappropriate solvent
Use of non-specific hardener
Slow drying due to high humidity rate
Exposure of undercoat to atmospheric factors (acid rain pollution) or chemicals (soap/detergent) during the first days subsequent to painting.

Always refer to information sheet and observe indicated drying and flash off time.
Avoid exposure of undercoat immediately after painting to particularly aggressive atmospheric and chemical agents.

Respect applying system

Defective applying technique (layers too dry)
Incorrect set up of the spray gun (sprinkler, air pressure, etc.)
Too high viscosity
Inappropriate use of diluants, in low quantity or too fast
Inadequate flash off from one layer to another
Too high temperature
An excessive or inadequate thickness of the paint film.

Always refer to the data sheet and use the applying technique indicated therein.
Use appropriate solvents (D33, D55, D66 or water) indicated based on ambient conditions and monitor viscosity prior to application.
Apply evenly paint layers and wait for flash off to be completed. Keep under control applying conditions, temperature and ventilation,

After the finish is completely dry:

• Sand the area with fine paper then polish
• If defect is too visible it may be necessary to sand more deeply and then repaint.

Degradation of metal substrate due to contact with atmospheric and chemical agents Icompatible paint or substrate poorly prepared

Carefully clean metal surface and apply appropriate anti-corrosive primer.

Rub, sand, dust and thouroughly remove all rust, then repeat cycle starting from anti-corrosive primer (GRAY CORROSION INHIBITOR OR RED IRON OCHER OR EPOXY) Anti-corrosive.

Let dry off, sand, clean, repaint when not damp
